THINGS WE DO
Chroma supports its diverse community through intersectional coalition building and the free sharing of resources. Mutual Aid is provided through internal support systems to meet the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of the community. If you specifically need financial assistance for the cost of groceries or medical care and are in the Wheaton area, we have a limited budget that can be accessed no questions asked. See more on this on our Mutual Aid page.
By learning our histories, sharing our stories, and engaging in current events, we empower the leaders of today with skills and knowledge to live compassionately. Chroma hosts in-person lectures and discussions, alongside book clubs, and field trips to local museums and historical sites. We are also in the process of launching a blog that highlights the voices of minority students and documents the histories of minority groups at Wheaton College. See more here.
Social gatherings and community events allow us to know and love one another better. We host weekly community nights, where we typically hang out, watch a movie, or do homework together. We also hold an open-mic event at least twice a year, where members share art, poetry, compositions, etc. See more here.
